To ensure the longevity of your equipment and prevent damage, it is critical to follow specific cleaning protocols after every use, especially when using oxidizing agents like our Building Cleaner.
The active ingredients designed to neutralize mycotoxins are highly effective but can be corrosive to metal components if left to sit in the tank or internal lines.
Post-Application Maintenance Steps:
- Empty the Tank: Never store the fogger with the Building Cleaner solution inside. Always pour out any remaining product after your session.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the container with warm water to remove any chemical residue.
- Flush the System: Fill the tank with a small amount of clean, warm water and run the unit for at least 2 minutes. This is vital to flush the internal lines and nozzle of any residual oxidizer.
- Dry Before Storage: Leave the tank open to air-dry completely before sealing it for storage.
⚠️ Failure to follow these rinsing instructions will lead to internal corrosion and rust, which may void your warranty and damage an expensive piece of equipment.

How to Use PurOne Tabs

PRE-STEP | Remediate First
Before starting any Superstratum protocol, target living organisms like mold and bacteria at the source.
STEP 1 | Drop the Tab
1 PurOne Tab = Makes 32 oz of PurOne solution. Drop 1 PurOne tab into the wide-neck spray bottle included in the Superstratum Kit.
STEP 2 | Add water and dissolve
Add 32 oz of tap water (warm water works best) to the spray bottle and dissolve one PurOne tab.
STEP 3 | Spray Target Areas
Spray solution generously directly onto visible mold, mildew, or contaminated surfaces.
STEP 4 | Wait 4 minutes
Let it work. Allow the solution to remain wet on the surface for 4 minutes to fully kill spores and bacteria biofilms.
STEP 5 | Wipe Clean
Wipe dry with a cloth. Your surface is disinfected and ready for fogging or daily maintenance!

How to Use Building Cleaner

Whole-Home Fogging
HE-HOCl donates electrons to disarm airborne and surface mycotoxins at the molecular level, leaving only simple salt behind.
STEP 1 | Prep the area
Cover or remove moisture-sensitive items, including musical instruments, fine art, exposed electronics, and delicate fabrics.
STEP 2 | Fill the tank
Pour Superstratum Building Cleaner directly into the fogger tank. 1 gallon covers up to 600 sq. ft. (5,000 cu. ft.).
STEP 3 | Fog every room
Turn on the fogger and mist each room to reach air, fabrics, and hidden gaps where cloths can't.
STEP 4 | Let It Settle

For CIRS-type individuals, the following PPE is highly recommended: during fog applications of the Building Cleaner, it is highly recommended that these individuals wear an N-95 mask. Additionally, do not apply the Building Cleaner over any type of acid-based cleaner or disinfectant, as residual acid could cause a reaction with the HOCl.

We’ve used Superstratum Building Cleaner on several mold remediation projects as a post-remediation treatment, and it has become a valuable part of our final cleaning protocol.
After completing the remediation action plan and performing full mold removal, we apply Superstratum via ULV fogging to address what traditional mechanical methods cannot. While HEPA air filtration and HEPA vacuuming are critical for removing particulate matter and spores, they do not effectively neutralize mycotoxins and microscopic residues that can remain on surfaces and in the air space after remediation.

This fogger has been so easy. Basically you plug it in fill it up with building cleaner and go. It doesn’t get things crazy saturated like my last fogger. That made me so confident in the fact that it could penetrate and let and wrap around things and completely immerse them. But not be drenched and all wet. I use the fogger several days in a row. Our house had to be remediated and I didn’t trust the job that the remediator’s did so I felt so confident when I fogged the area with the building fogger and then cleaned it with a pure one tablets myself. I found so much black stuff on my microfiber rags that I was so so grateful that I went ahead and did it myself after the remediation. This fogger sets the building cleaner everywhere in such a perfect way.

Chlorine odor lasts a long time! I only used the building cleaner in a fogger. I’m glad I didn’t use the chlorine bomb I’m sure the smell would have been worse.
